Reverse Bias: Positive terminal to N-side. Widens the depletion region, blocking current flow.

3. Applications

Diodes are primarily used as rectifiers to convert AC to DC. Specialized diodes like Zener diodes are used for voltage regulation, while LEDs convert electrical energy into light.
